Anything to take my mind off of Xander seemed like a good idea. But as I scrolled through the list of options, I kept coming back to his profile. That face! Those interests! The screenname! Why was his screenname XBL147? There had to be a reason. I messaged him on a hunch.

It could be the perfect solution! I’d call him by his middle name. We’d live our lives peacefully- I wouldn’t have to say Xander, and he would get the benefit of using an alias. He’d be like a spy! Except without secrets! I didn’t know how long I’d have to wait for the reply, but I kept refreshing my computer anxiously. I lucked out- within moments he wrote back.
