Starting Off With My New Friends
Maybe friends is too strong a word! But now that I’m replying to all my drunk dating messages, I’m finding that a lot of them are OK. I think I might have good instincts for online dating while drunk! I don’t know if that’s a skill I should have (and it’s definitely one I won’t tell my mother about!). But it’s something.
The first guy seems really cool. He’s a graphic designer for a downtown firm, and on his profile he had a link to some of his stuff. It was very cool (and I am somewhat qualified to judge, considering that marketing makes me look at this stuff full time). In my inebriated giggle fest, I’d told him that I thought his designs were “cute.”
That made him upset enough to reply. Mission accomplished. And an online dating tip- if you want a guy to respond, just call something cute- they love to hate it.
