Valentine’s Day- With Kids
One of the hard parts of my Valentine’s Day this year was coordinating the mayhem with the kids. I had my own and James had responsibilities too. Would we find a way to meet, let alone share a kiss?
The day didn’t start off well. My youngest had just come down with a cold that meant a lot of searching for Kleenex and Dimetap. And James’ son apparently wouldn’t leave his house without a certain pair of shoes.
So we didn’t meet before work. Then, after work, both of us had more to do. When it turned to nine o’clock, I was certain we wouldn’t see each other.
Until I heard the doorbell.
“I didn’t want to miss you.”
He was breathing heavily and holding flowers in his hands. The best part of online dating? The offline moments like these.
