Finally, A Little Closure. As Well As A Beginning
I was starting to get tired of waiting! But I finally convinced Margo AND Alan to spend the night with me, together. I could have a diplomatic career after this (and you know I’d love the free parking). They came over to my house around 8PM at night and I was ready. I’d made dessert for all of us and saved some of the chocolate for later, if you know what I mean.
When I woke up in the morning, I was refreshed and warm- I had a body on each side of me for the first time in a while and it felt damn good. I was a little worried that Alan might have some lingering performance anxiety. When Margo went to the bathroom, I leaned over and kissed him on the lobe of his ear.
“Hi,” I said.
“Hey.”
“Did you have fun?”
He smiled.
“Mmmhmm.”
“Good.”
“Did you?”
I looked over to the closed bathroom door and then looked back at him.
“You bet I did. There’s just one thing.”
For a second, he look scared again like he had when he was talking to me at the Whiskey Bar.
“What, what is it?”
I heard the shower turn on.
“You used the past tense.”
“What’s wrong with that?”
I pointed to the shower.
“We aren’t done yet. Let’s join her.”
He smiled and carried me over to the other room. Diplomacy is more fun than I thought.
