Filling Out the Questionnaire
Of course- the day it wasn’t raining is the one I pick to do the questionnaire. And eHarmony is serious. Dead serious. It’s like the SAT. 256 questions, I think. So I get home after a long day at work. My hands are already pushing carpal tunnel. And I start taking the thing. There was one big surprise…It wasn’t that bad. I expected everything to torture. Abu Ghraib of dating. But while I went through, I found myself thinking about different parts of myself. Things that actually didn’t have to do with work. Things that I hadn’t thought about in a while. I didn’t even get up to get a beer or coffee- I went through the whole thing in one sitting. Noticed I had the same CD on repeat. But maybe it won’t be so bad, the online dating stuff.
After it was over, I had a cup of hot chocolate and rested. I looked outside. I could see the stars hole-punching the sky. Now I have to see what it all means. At least filling out the questionnaire isn’t so bad.
