A Long Day at Work with One Good Break
Have a big project. The worst part is persuading clients to temper their ambitions. Seen this? It’s a pretty nice library. The client wants something like that. Great- I’m no Rem Koolhaas. And it’s for a glorified mini-mart. This is when I don’t like the job. Except for fifteen minutes after lunch.
Logged onto my e-mail and got an eHarmony message. I see her. Gorgeous eyes. Remind me of the library windows reflecting sun, actually. Wouldn’t tell her that. But I am up for flirting. She does some sort of industrial design. New to the city and trying online dating.
I guess what I like about it so far is the time management. I just don’t have time for all these emotions normally- too busy with work, or the commute, or whatever. But this is a way to pack them in. And hopefully I can coax her into getting a drink after work. Just have to figure out how to reply.
