On Friday, I got laid off from my job.
Yes, that’s today. And yes, it was a long time coming, unfortunately. I knew it was going to happen, but I thought the firm would be able to hold out a little longer. I was wrong. But instead of complaining, I got to work.
I messaged somebody on eHarmony.
For me, putting myself out there again was a way to reaffirm that even though I’ve lost my job, I haven’t lost myself. Hopefully I can find someone who will think the same.
