Managing A Relationship- And Kids
Last time I blogged, it was about managing a relationship with James- and managing his kids. Well, it hasn’t gotten any easier. Now I’m managaing time too.

If you couldn’t tell from my last post about disciplining kids, dating with children can be tough (forget about being married with children!). Well, James and I finally had a fight about it. And I don’t know what to do. (more…)

So- did you guess? I hope you did. James and I went out for an anniversary date last night, and it was wonderful.
I knew Kurt was a good man, but there was something about James- and the fact that he has kids- that just seemed right. But that doesn’t mean dating a single dad is without problems. (more…)
I can’t believe that after such a short period of time, I feel like I’m an old hand at online dating. A little while ago, the idea of telling my children that I was dating somebody shocked me. I’m still not ready to do that. But I am ready to tel myself.

Every single mom hears the question, whether they’re on Match or not. My daughter heard about it from one of her friends- I never though I could bottle up the world! But I did think it would take a little longer before she asked me if I had a boyfriend.
I finally saw James again. I’d been waiting so long to do it and I don’t know why. Now that I finally have it makes my decision a little harder. Our date began over coffee. We went to a small shop I’d never been to. When I entered, James was sitting at the table and had his hand cupped over something I couldn’t see.

I had lunch with Kurt today- but first, I had to deal with something else. Yesterday, I finally wrote James back and told him that I’d be free whenever he wanted to meet. Guess which day he chose?
Last week, James told me that he’d eventually find time to contact me. And, hopefully, for both of us to get together again. I was so wrapped up in my next date with Kurt that I forgot James would even be contacting me. Well, he did. And he sounded better than I expected.
Sometimes I wonder how a single mom like me even has time for Match. I also wonder why I let my son play indoor soccer! The soccer season can last forever! We had a huge game today, and my youngest and I watched him play well from the sidelines. By the time it was over, we were exhausted- but then we had to go to the grocery.
My son took a big math test on Wednesday, and his teacher said they wouldn’t get the results until Monday. You should have heard about it last night! It was all he wanted to talk about at dinner- I would chide him for it. But it reminded me of my own behavior.
